A process-driven investment management firm
A BRIEF HISTORY OF MASSEY QUICK
In 2003, Stewart Massey and Les Quick, two successful financial services professionals who took early retirement, independently began looking for a firm to help them fulfill their investment and wealth management needs. With their experience and knowledge of the investment business, they were in a unique position to objectively assess the strengths and weaknesses of each firm. They each soon became frustrated by their inability to find a firm that understood their individual needs and preferences and had the adequate combination of
- investment expertise and innovation
- commitment to capital preservation
- focus on long-term investing
- personal commitment, ethics and integrity.
These two neighbors met and shared their experiences. They agreed that what they—and others—needed was a very different kind of investment management solution. This led them to outline a philosophy and approach for a process-driven wealth management and investment management firm built on approaches they had used successfully in past endeavors.
Soon thereafter Massey Quick was born as a multi-family investment office that would not only meet their families' needs, but also bring fiduciary management to other wealthy families, foundations and endowments.
